Summer Solstice Resolution. [21 Jun 2006|08:59pm]

[ mood | productive ]

*Points flashlight and yells across the lifeless, frozen water in a fake British accent* Is anyone alive out there?! Can anybody hear me?! ((echo))

I went to work with my mom today. That included waking up at an ungodly hour, doing a horrible job painting my nails, and walking in the sweltering heat to get turned down by 3 places for jobs (I was, however, able to apply at Big Lots -- fun!). At least I got a free haircut -- like that's something new.

Anyway, my summer resolution (inspired by the Myspace horoscope page) is to do some serious self-improvement. But that fact may be redundant.

To be more specific, I hereby resolve to:
- Get over my fear of the telephone.
- Get dressed before noon.
- Finish all the books on my mental list of books to read.
- Not waste my summer.
- Be a completely different person when school starts.

Your turn.

It's kind of funny how the title for this thing is "Not just for January anymore" or something to that effect and the last post before Kristina's was in January.

Anyway, it is true. I have been biting my nails. I did worse in Pre-Calc. So, the only thing I have left is not dating losers. This, believe it or not, is actually the one that is sticking. Wes is not a loser by far.

So thank you and goodnight. I must drive my mother to Walmart.

Hey kids. Remember the community? I saw Heather biting her nails the other day, so I'm thinking we forgot. lol.

I have another hot shirtless Adam, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to post a picture on this mother since they changed it.

But here's the link.

So, about those resolutions...I'm a little closer to finishing The Fountainhead, I've been drawing more, I've been writing more...Okay, the only reason I'm posting is that I wanted an excuse to post this. He's shirtless and a boy, so he fits the criteria.

hubba hubba...

I knew you'd all appreciate that.

My resolutions are going strong!

I still have yet to bite my nails.

Also, my not dating losers resolution will not be broken.

I have defeated the demon of procrastination! After a year and a half of being past my 15th birthday, I can report that I am 4 hours closer to learning how to drive, which, if I recall correctly, was one of my resolutions.

I took the drug and alcohol class and passed the test today. Tomorrow, I shall hopefully take the dmv test.

Well, that was my day...
That and I tried to watch SLC Punk! and Annie at the same time. I don't recommend it.

Thought I should update on my resolutions so far.

As far as the writing more goes, I've designated the tacky notebook Beth gave me as my new journal and wrote a couple pages in it yesterday. A couple? I mean like 6. I might write a story or a song (yeah right) if I get the inspiration, but I wouldn't count on it tomorrow.

That's pretty much it. I haven't carpe diemed, I'm not a bohemian, and I'm not close at all to kissing a guy in the rain. Although I wrote a short little story that involved me doing that...but I deleted it. And that goes under the last category anyway.

I walked 2 miles today, but since I'm not the one trying to lose weight (or at least resolving to), it's kinda off-topic. My pedometer said I only burned 130 calories anyway, so that made me mad. I hope it's broken.

I think I need a shirtless guy to keep my spirits up...*HINT HINT*

One thing leads to another. [04 Jan 2006|07:55pm]

I'm really liking the interests and that there are only 4 members. Maybe we'll be the only people who actually keep our resolutions.

So, it's been a week or so since I've bitten my nails. I'm good on the front so far. This is going to be the hard one to keep.

The not dating losers thing is going too. I'm not dating anyone, thus no losers.

I'm also adding get better grades to my list. It should just actually be do better in Pre-calc, but we'll see if I can do better in other classes to. Might as well go out of high school with an astronomical GPA. A 3.9 is not going to cut it for me anymore.

Heather

P.S. Cutler, what is with the Canadian flag icon? It rocks!

Kristina and other members (a.k.a Hilary).... [01 Jan 2006|11:34pm]

I need a New Year's resolution. I know Hilary said that it should be to not date losers, but that's pretty much a given.

So, my first journey will be to make one. Then stick with it.

Salutations! [01 Jan 2006|10:26pm]

I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey that begins at the beginning of a popular tradition.

Many people may be unaware of this, but years ago, when the tradition of having a New Year's resolution began, people thought it would be a good idea to follow through with them! These days, New Year's resolutions are jokes to most people that make them.

We at Resolutionary (and by "we," I mean me and my other personalities until I get some members), have decided to throw away the negative implications of making resolutions by throwing away the "New Year's" part of the title.

This is where you make resolutions (coincidentally in January), and then...keep them! And at the suggestion of hilly27 , the community will be kept alive by posting pictures of shirtless guys (or whatever you're in to). Just to keep your spirits up!
